I can no longer trust the Firefox browser either, it seems.
I had just finished updating it to the newest version (3.5.2), and all of a sudden my computer slows down like mad, errors pop up from the "firewall", things lock up...
Seems like I had been struck by Antivirus 2010.

I'm glad though, I had this at my work's computer before too (But then I did click the install thing, hehe... >_> ), so I know what kind of fake things it does.
That was the old version 2009, which was in English. So on a Dutch computer you'll notice something is odd.
But the one I have now was Dutch, so it fooled me for a moment. But I didn't fall for it completely...

Now, I'm a really safe browser (hence the Firefox)... But this, I swear it on my sick kitty (different story), Antivirus 2010 installed itself, fully automatically, without a hint, without a warning, without asking me to press "Yes". It just did while browsing my regular websites.

I had about half an hour of problems after that, because it confliced with Daemon Tools, causing my computer to keep rebooting. But I'm just a bit nerdy enough to fix that. So now my computer is running "normally" again. There's still a few traces of Antivirus 2010 left though, but I'm working on removing that.

But seriously, when your computer just accepts to install an exe without asking...

So, another bunch of people are on my "want dead" list. Those Russians who made Antivirus 2010.

Tip: Don't trust online scans. That's how I found the 2009 version. :3


Edit: I cannot put my hate towards people who make programs like this in words (Because if I do I'd be labeled a psychopat)
Now I got another extension to my computer problems: a temporary file appears about 5 minutes after restarting and causes my computer to restart itself. It leaves me only with seconds to stop it from running before my pc restarts.
There's no other option left than to format my pc, something I absolutely hate. I backed up all my files, but my computer didn't come with the Windows XP cd, so I can't reinstall it...
